01First, we go inside.
Identity
Calibration
What do you want? What matters to you? Maybe it’s your first car. Maybe it’s work that takes you somewhere new. Put it on paper, then build a plan you can start.
For college students & new grads
You know you have potential. Now give yourself a plan.
Find roles worth going after. Show employers why your experience matters. Bring it to life in the interview—and start strong once you get there.
Short lessons. Working tools. Someone to ask.
Your first role.
Not your last move.
The question that
changed my resume.
Why I built TCBF
I’m Annie. I was a liberal arts econ major, rewriting my resume and sending application after application. I knew I had potential. I just didn’t know how to make the whole process work.
My uncle had me using the employer’s words and quantifying what I’d done. Then a McKinsey alum at my school read my resume and asked, “So what?”
That question stayed with me. What did I actually do? Why did it matter? And how was I going to make someone else see it?
“I had my uncle.
A lot of students don’t have anyone.”
This is the playbook I had to piece together myself.

A little of what we’ll do together
A resume can list everything you’ve done and still leave an employer asking, “So what?” This is where we start getting specific.
What did you do?
What was your part?
What happened because of it?
Don’t make them
translate.
“Assisted customers with questions about the insurance claim process.”
What did you handle yourself? What happened next? We ask before adding detail.
“Resolved 20+ daily customer inquiries across payment processing, claims filing, and issue resolution—contributing to a 10% reduction in repeat contacts.”
In this fictional teaching example, the student supplied the volume and supported result during coaching. The rewrite uses those facts; it does not infer them.
A strong example does not need a number. Use specific actions and truthful outcomes you can explain. The figures above are fictional teaching details, not a result AI can assume.
Then we take that same experience into the interview.
You already know the story. Now you know how to tell it.
The full course
We start with the result you want and work backward through the requirements. Then we take the first step. That’s R²—and it runs through the whole course.
01First, we go inside.
What do you want? What matters to you? Maybe it’s your first car. Maybe it’s work that takes you somewhere new. Put it on paper, then build a plan you can start.
02Then we get specific.
Find roles and companies that fit. Use AI and your own research to explore. Then turn your experience into a resume—and a cover letter when it adds something—that makes sense to the employer.
03Now bring it to life.
Tell your stories. Ask good questions. Follow up. And when you land the role, start building your first 90 days and the longer-term future you came here for.

We’re not stopping at a notebook of inspiration. You’re going to do the work as you go—and leave with five things you can actually use.
That’s what I wantYour values, Perfect Fit criteria, and a roadmap for the roles you want to explore.
Your real experience, translated into specific evidence an employer can understand.
A Target Role Command Center for promising opportunities, priorities, deadlines, and next steps.
Prepared STAR stories, questions worth asking, and practice bringing your experience to life.
Your first 90 days, a WIN List, and a one-, three-, and five-year direction to keep building toward.

The part after the offer
Companies give you onboarding. You create your growth path.
Learn what success looks like. Take initiative. Deliver. Keep track of the wins before you need them for the next conversation.
Build the plan around your role and your manager’s expectations.
“I was treasurer for our club and helped with events.”
You’ve got two things here. Let’s take treasurer first.
What did you do as treasurer, week to week?
“I kept the budget spreadsheet, collected dues and reimbursed supply purchases.”
Kept the club’s budget spreadsheet, collected member dues and reimbursed supply purchases.

Meet Uncle John
My uncle was the person I could ask when I didn’t know what to do next. That’s why the companion to this course is named Uncle John.
Uncle John helps you put the method to work. Bring rough notes from a job, club or class project. He helps you work through what happened, your part and what came of it—one question at a time. You edit and approve the words.
And yes, we use AI throughout the course. You’ll learn to give it context, question what comes back, and use the parts that actually help.
Learn in the course. Put it into practice with Uncle John. The lessons explain the method; the workspace helps you apply it to your own experience.Lessons live in Thinkific, with Uncle John in a separate app. Your planned purchase includes one year of access to both. Final sign-in and access instructions will be confirmed before enrollment opens.
Your next move
This is for the student or new grad who knows they have potential—and is ready to do something with it.
You don’t need a perfect pedigree. Bring your real experience, your questions, and the willingness to work through the steps.
“I get straight to the point,
so let’s get going.”

A few things you might be wondering
No. We start with a vision, your values, and the kinds of work and environments that sound interesting to you. You don’t need a perfect answer. You need enough direction to start exploring—and something to compare opportunities against.
That gives us something to work with. Have you trained someone? Managed a project? Organized an event? Worked with customers? We’ll build an Experience Inventory and look for the skills and results underneath the job titles. We use what you actually did; we don’t invent a different background.
You can use AI, and we do. TCBF gives you a particular process to follow, examples of what good looks like, and tools that connect each step. Your targets inform your resume. Your experience becomes your interview stories. Your wins give you material for the next move. That connected approach is what you’re learning here.
Start where you are. We’ll use your situation, your experience, and the opportunities available to you to build the next steps. You’re not trying to recreate somebody else’s college timeline.
Watch a short lesson, then put it into practice with the matching tools and Uncle John. Bring your own experience, work through the questions, and edit the result. The real investment is in research, writing and practice—not just pressing play. Lessons live in Thinkific and practice with Uncle John takes place in the separate app. The planned purchase includes one year of course and app access. Final access instructions and the AI allowance will be confirmed before enrollment opens.
The final lesson runtime will be added after recording. This preview does not assume a typical student completion time.
No. You’re building your own system with guidance, examples, and tools. The goal is for you to understand why the application works, talk about it in the interview, and use the process again when your career changes.
You don’t have to piece it together alone.
You’ve got somewhere you want to go. Let’s work backward and take the first step.
